I'm looking to lease/rent a RaQ 2. I know they're out of date, but that doesn't matter. One would fit my needs perfectly.

I'd only need one for about 6 months or so, while I got a special project developed and running. I could probably buy one and colocate it, but I'd rather rent one.

I figure if rackshack has Raq 4's for $99/month, I can get a 2 for next to nothing.

I think the $ 99.- doesn't cover the rent of the box but is mostly datatransfer and tech support.

However you could try and email Headsurfer. Being the businessman that he is he often has old junk like raq 2 and 3's lying around which he is sometimes is offering to rent out for $ 40 -$ 50.- a month.

If you can find 'old junk' like RaQ3's for $40/mo. with 300 gigs, please let me know. Must be able to be resold, must have 100 or so (as I'm not going to run ads for 10 boxes and then be out).

 Sorry, I hope I didn't make you feel like an old man because you used a Raq3 back in the days when you were young.;)

The $99 does indeed cover the server rent - but keep in mind that RS charges a fairly hefty setup fee as well.
