Hi,
Has anyone heard or read of any tax breaks in New York City for startups. The reason I ask is I had heard there would be in the aftermath of 9/11 but have not been able to find any such information
TIA
I don't remember reading or hearing about anything for startups. There is a package of grants and tax incentives that is supposedly going to start to be distributed within the next few weeks, but as I understand it the goal of these programs is to help existing businesses that were harmed in the attack, and to encourage existing downtown businesses to stay.
It's understandable that would be the first priority. Perhaps if existing business appear to be leaving programs will be expanded to encourage new startups or arrivals.
