I am a bit confused, but do the earnings for adsense for content and adsense for search combine or are they seperate?

as far as i now they are combined, but i am not sure. I think it depends on the publisher id. If you use the same for the search and the adsense ads your earnings will be combined.

Yes! They are in the same account and Google sends the earnings from both in one cheque. Of cource stats are separated so you know how much do you earn from content and search.
