I learnt that the IP address to country database can be obtained free from RIPE, ARIN, APNIC and LARNIC public databases.

Anybody know the URLs of the databases?

If you search via google.com for "geolocation IP addresses", several come up.

Is it not possible to hit those Servers - ARIN, RIPE etc directly and get the Info direct ? I understand at port 43 we can hit all the Whois Servers and get the info.
