Last night I signed up with tera-byte mainly for the reason high bandwith. I have used them before and found not great but fine.

I'm uploading my site at the moment, for more than I could not access my site because of 500 Internal server error also the pages open slow sometimes and FTP not excellent. Yes I know I get what I pay but tera-byte got worser during this time I think.

I begun to think if I made a mistake allthough I have no other choice there is not another host who offers 20 GB for 9.25$

What did Tera-Byte's tech support say when you asked them about the problem?

Gearhost.com has 20GB bandwidth for $9.95/month. Right now they only offer Windows Hosting, but sometime this weekend I heard they are going to start offering Unix Hosting too.

I did not ask anything to tera-byte support cause there is nothing to ask .
they would say "this is the quality of service, if you wish..."

on the other hand about gearhost it's now discussed at sitepointforums, I think.

I've heard of people having troubles with tera-byte many times before, but usually the problems are resolved fairly quickly. They seem to be quick to cut people out for content against their TOS, but I do know quite a few happy customers.

I know you don't think much of them, but give their support crew a try before you back out :)

yes you are right I asked the support and learned that there was a problem at the server that my site is.

they said it has been fixed and will be much better :)

Well, I do not know about Tera-Byte but I do know about the internal server error. Not to point fingers, but in 99.999% of all the complaints I get about the internal server error it is because the client a) did not change the settings of their cgi scripts to match their new host or b) he forgot to chmod them the correct way or c) he uploaded them in ascii mode.:smokin:

Check, check, check and quadruple check :(

may be but this time not a client's fault. I also do not use CGI. PHP is better

anyway they accepted that there was a problem with their server and has been fixed. this is enough for me.

Yes, you do have a choice. Pay $5-$6 more per month for a host with better connections. I'm no soliciting business here..... but as I've said dozens of times to people on here that don't like what I'm saying.. you get what you pay for.

And please don't reply back that you can't afford another $5/month because..... well... just don't say it :D JK

Most complaints are from old customers a while back when they were moving servers.
