hi!!!
i want to register a domain on the 23rd september 2004
want i would like to ask is, what time zone does the domain registry actually use???
i'm in singapore and the time now is 1:14 PM 23/09/04
does the domain registry use UTC or EDT??
would be glad if anyone can answer this...:)

from what i've read, Zulu time is the same as UTC
therefore, am i right to say it is now:
Thursday, September 23, 2004, at 05:28:28
guess i can register my domain now...:D

yes ZULU time is just the armed forces--airlines etc designation for universal coordinated time (UTC) don't ask me why the acronym doesn't scan unless it's French - universale temps coordine - or something

UTC is the politically correct term for Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) I guess

each of the 24 time zones actually has a letter designation if I remember but Z / zulu is the only one in common parlance I think
