I'm looking for a good ASP/NT reseller plan from a host that has a good reputation like MCHost (linux). Can you recommend one? - not to expensive.

I dont know what their reputation is like....... but I think if you want someone with a rep as good as MCHOST, it would probably be very expensive for NT/ASP ckpeter 01-19-2002, 03:43 PM Well, I used to recommend m6, but I have heard bad things about them. Search the board for those discussions. Gearhost is one that comes to my mind. I don't have any experience with them, but do a search on the board, you should find some good(or maybe some bad) discussions. Peter Chicken 01-19-2002, 04:04 PM I searched for 'windows reseller' and found some of the threads inwhich this had been talked about, but this is one I put in some time to help people looking for wondows reselling services as well... http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17899&highlight=windows+reseller cdudeuk18 01-19-2002, 04:22 PM i sugest going for a unix box with asp installed. http://www.zenithtech.com http://www.mchost.com > i think , no sure http://www.cyberwings.com ckpeter 01-19-2002, 04:41 PM Originally posted by cdudeuk18 i sugest going for a unix box with asp installed. http://www.zenithtech.com http://www.mchost.com > i think , no sure http://www.cyberwings.com ASP on unix is buggy at best. Besides, people using asp are probably also using MS Acess and other COM objects, which are not available on Unix. Unless you are just playing with ASP, I don't recommend ASP on Unix. Peter ebizalive 01-19-2002, 05:20 PM Thanks for the input and for the links :) John Eladesor 01-19-2002, 08:05 PM ASP on unix is buggy at best. Peter That's good advice - one of the initial questions from customers seeking windows hosting is what com objects are installed and do you support DSN / ODBC / SQL connectivity. They are based out of Australia, so their response time is a little slow. Don't get a domain name through them cause if you leave and forget yor password, they won't give it to you. numpty 01-20-2002, 06:20 AM I'm with MChost and I'm just about to sign up with Vibus for my windows needs , I'll let you know how it goes :) webideas 01-22-2002, 01:37 PM m6.net is horrible.they not only have bad customer support but also high downtime...Its better to go with sitebysize or crystaltech. |
