Where to?

I was planning to move to GD or similar but with the free .info promotion going on I was wondering whether I had a better option.

Domainsite charges .99 but I suppose that's not for transfers.

Others still run the free .info promo but it can't be for transfers.

What are my options then?

I think you can't get transfer for free. If you were considering 'GD or similar' hurry up, .info is on sale at the moment I believe, when promotion is over the price might just go up..

I was burned on a GD .info renewal on a sale last week. I couldn't find any .info renewal fees anywhere on the website and thought that I would be getting the sale price for new regs. When I went to renew the name, however, I discovered the $9.99 charge on checkout -- and heard the bad news again when I called GD to confirm.

I didn't point out that mine are .info domains that I paid for around 11 months ago, but I think that was correctly understood.

So, I suppose the best thing would be to transfer to GD or other comparable registrar, and before expiration check for the renewal price, as the transfer one is good, a little less the renewal one and who knows in a year's time?!?

OK, as long as it's not RegisterFly who still owe me around 150 $ that they got from my credit card, and I'm going to say this until something is sorted out! (I might put it in my signature, just to keep people aware that their billing system is crediting them double sometimes)

Godaddy's .info price at 6.95 is not the low considering many companies are offering it for free or slightly more.

That would be expensive if I had to register new ones, unfortunately I have domains to transfer, in which case the price isn't that bad or anyway I can't find much cheaper ones.
Actually there's ev1 but I think it's 6.49, which is better but not a lot of difference.

The $6.95 sale price for .info on GD and resellers will be valid until September 30th, just checked it.
