View Full Version : Good DNS host
Mat-d-rat 09-22-2004, 04:49 AM | I have been using freeparking.co.uk for years without any troubles. However I now had my main company website down for almost a week because of a DNS issue! However whenever I contact them, all I am getting is that is needs to go to a "Senior support engineer" and that Max (the only guy who seems to be there) can't ever contact them. With there prices so much higher than a lot of others I would of expected better service, and till now it has been good (I have around 20 domains with them pointing to my various sites).
I need to find a better (cheaper if possible!) DNS host that gives me direct access to some kind of DNS panel that allows me to maintain .co.uk .com .uk.com and .info domains - any advice welcome.
(Maybe if It could even allow a 3rd/4th name server and I can run one on my server)

dnsmadeeasy.com would be worth trying. |
raqsoft 09-22-2004, 05:57 AM | or mydomain.com (http://www.mydomain.com) - i use them for a few years, never had any problems
or try zoneedit.com (http://www.zoneedit.com) - but only 5 domains per mailaddress |
Michau 09-24-2004, 08:36 AM I use MyDomain but they are down from time to time, so if it is for business need i'd recommend to avoid free services. |
Bashar 09-25-2004, 03:49 AM everydns.net, afraid.org, sitelutions.com offer free dns hosting too.. |
carledgar 09-25-2004, 09:56 PM I've browsed the site several times but only starting posting seriously tonight.
This thread alone has taught me a lot even though I have been registering domains for more than five years and even actually selling some.
I appreciate the members who post focused and helpful messages - something often missing from boards and rooms
