I have been told 20 million different ways to get to connec to my irc server by typing in irc.dsradio.net but none of them actually say "HOW" to do it. My domain registrar doesn't even know how. Anyway how would i be able to connect to my irc server using irc.dsradio.net???

because im asking on how to setup the irc subdomain so i can connect to my ip from irc.dsradio.net

I read your post 7 times trying to understand what u wrote. and I couldnt :| setup an irc subdomain.. connect to your ip.. from irc.dsradio.net .. you need to explain again I guess..

ok i will try. Anyway if you are familiar with IRC and you know that most servers you connect to are like irc.gamesurge.net. Anyway i want it like that so i can connect to irc.dsradio.net to my own server.

You have to setup an IRC server in order to connect to it. IRC servers are not setup just by typing irc.yourdomain.com. You will have to contact your host about whether or not you can setup an IRC server.

Ok, simple answer.. You need to assign an IP number as "irc.dsradio.net" (A record), then configure your IRCD to bind to that same IP number. Voila, then you can "/server irc.dsradio.net" from your irc client.

hmmm i cant find it on bircd at all :(

you need to download something like bahamut or unreal IRCD etc..

If i'm not wrong bircd runs on windows.
