But the site looks good. I like the lil contrasting Green welcome mesage on the top right :) Make sure the the image of the RAQ's is not copyright. It looks similar to something I have seen before. Umm, you could change the color of the little green arrow at the bottom of the page, which is pointing up, to something else. That green kinda hurts my eye. :) Luqman 11-18-2000, 10:20 AM its a very neat and nicly designed site. I like the colour scheem. I think should make any thing which is green to BLUE. As it doesnt look good. Note: Your prices do seem a bit expensive? $7 for 5MB's akashik 11-18-2000, 12:12 PM I think I get why you used the green. Looking at the RaQ picture on the front page. It's a good idea, but that color renders pretty bad on both my monitors (LCD, and a 'normal' cathode tube) At 800x600 it looks pretty empty. I'm a bit stickler for the company name graphic and yours doesn't say anything to me. It's just too plain, especially stuck there in that blue wilderness all by itself. I also see an odd thing where you've used a text rollover in the text (which moves a LOT of text btw), but none for the buttons in the menu at the top of the page... it's inconsistent. If you want to use a dynamic effect use it in the nav. It's expected and generic, and people like that in a company. e-commerce link doesn't work for me. I was looking at the 'register my domain' area, and feel you might want to be a little clearer about how to do it. I was looking for a button and only saw the 'search' form. Only after trying it out did I discover I would register through that. It's something I worked out by thinking... people scan pages for the best part and want everything obvious. Too much thinking means irritation. I like a page where I can go in, do what I need to do and get out. The navigation and prompts should guide me every step of the way so everything is seamless and straight forward. Sites should flow from one thing to another with no 'blind' corners. Umm, one last thing. your front page has our logo on the left, while all the others seem to have it on the right. That feels a bit odd to me too. Greg Moore http://www.akashik.net sebados 11-18-2000, 08:07 PM Thanks! I am going to make some changes now. etLux 11-24-2000, 11:22 PM Simple, clean, and well done. However, I think I'd lose the greenies at the top -- work with something else -- and also keep the logo along the top consistent from page to page. On subsidiary pages, I kept finding myself trying to click on the text title, rather than the small green arrow at the left. Admittedly, I can be a navigational idiot -- but, then again, so could other visitors... |
