Hi all, what do you all think of adding a competition to a site to win a free hosting account, as a way of driving some initial traffic to your site???
I want as many views as possible please :o

We hold competitions for our members to receive free upgrades, domain names, clothing, etc.

Not sure how you would promote this outside your current customer base. Except to run contests in forums like this, which could increase traffic to your site. But not neccessarily increase sales.

I use AOL which has webbuilding and IT related chat rooms which are a good means of publicity, I am now also sponsoring a small software company who are supplying me with some stuff and i will have links from all of their pages.
