Hi all,
We've had it with Rackshack, and are in search of another provider. Looking for 1 server (to start) with at least:
500mhz or better processor (Intel or AMD is fine)
At least 512MB RAM
At least 20gb disk space
cpanel/wht or plesk control panel
At least 50-100gb monthly transfer
Only real requirement is network must be NOT be Cogent. If you have any recommendations or can help, please reply here or via email. Thanks.

<Edit>
I am merely recording my appreciation of the fact that my good friend Peter is such an active participant in WHT - the last I talked to him he was much less!
Just so no one misunderstands me

Check Dialtone - www.dialtone.com. Although their control panel is not like plesk or cpanel, it does the basics. They also offer Sphera. Good support and excellent connectivity! Talk to Roland and please mention me :D

I'm curious - why did you decide to switch from Rackshack - server support, server hardware, or did you find something wrong with the Cogent connection itself, or something wrong with their network?

I would suggest http://pwebtech.com, talk to Ed or Jay. I am an old Rack Shack convert and I am very glad I made the move. Support and uptime has been great!

Thank you all for the replies!!!
Jimb - rackspace is the leader right now. They aren't the cheapest of the bunch, but having been with the cheapest, I understand you truely get what you pay for.
Scott - I'm just tired of the way Rackshack is running their business, and their network. I really don't want to say more than that here and start some sort of flame war. The straw that broke our back is they have stopped letting customers transfer (sell) existing servers to others, which we were told we could do when we bought some of the new White box machines.
Thanks again.
