These were all expired a while ago, and I was looking at them at whois.net.

They're way too much. FHOST.com!?!? That sounds like f**khost.com to me, and $1000 for a domain thats insulting?

Looks more like you bought them with the purpose of trying to make some money. Several of these domains are very similar to already established hosting companies.

Of course I bought them with the purpose of making money. As stated, they were bought to be set up for hosting. I don't actually expect to sell more than one or two, the rest will be developed.

Most of the domains contain generic words or phrases that people use in search engines, like inexpensive hosting, affordable hosting, etc. and it really helps your ranking if the search terms are part of the domain. Others, like IQHosting, have good branding potential, while some like HostFAQ can be used as feeder sites or to consolidate support for a network of hosting sites with the obvious benefits it brings.

So let me get this straight...
You buy a bunch of domains mostly within the past month (some just over a week ago), thinking that you will develop something on it. In this little bit of time, you have decided that you don't have time to develop anything, so you want now want to sell them for up to $1000 each?

More important, I wouldn't be surprised if the minute someone tries to use some of these names for webhosting, they get slapped with a domain name dispute. I'm not trying to start anything here, just want those who don't know any better to be aware of these things, so that they don't get burned.

Actually there is no basis for dispute. You can not get a trademark or service mark on generic terms. Look for example at Superb Internet. They do have a service mark but only for their logo, not the term "Superb Internet". Their service mark clearly states:NO CLAIM IS MADE TO THE EXCLUSIVE RIGHT TO USE "SUPERB INTERNET" APART FROM THE MARK AS SHOWN
It doesn't matter to me if I don't sell any of the domains. I know they hold a lot more value in the long term as developed properties than the asking price.
