Hi,

I just found out that LiveHelper and HumanClick are no longer free. Do you have any other (free!!) suggestions?

Thanks!

Could you be a little more specific?

Is that what I am looking for?

I contacted Humanclick once to ask that and they said that Bravenet basically acquired the rights to distribute the free version because it was essentially a differen product because it had a different set of features.

For me, it's basically the same product and it's free... :D

The Bravenet Human Click is limited in features.
Too restrictive for some sites. But works well if you don't need much.

We were lucky and got phplivesupport when it was like $30 (I think it's $60 or $70 now. But it is a great affordable alternative.

Its funny how fast people get greedy... 200% markup in two
months is bad business tactics. But thats just my point of view

PHP Live! was underpriced when it entered the market. It's worth every penny of the $75 they charge. I would not pay much more, but it's definately worth the $75.

I remember Zeonhost (?) were going to release an open source livehelp script a few months ago, but then things went quiet. I wonder what ever happened to that.. It was looking good from what I saw of it.

I think the guy writing it abandoned the project because they found it was better to have support through forums instead of chat rooms because they couldn't have people waiting to respond 24 hours a day. I'm not sure though.

I got rid of the bravenet thing after trying it for a bit. I liked the little part where it allowed you to ask to chat. Unfortuanetly that went away and basically anything else in the program you select comes up with a "Must buy the full version" type of message which I despise (pop-ups of any kind annoy me). Of course it's free and I shouldn't really expect much of anything for $0.
