View Full Version : IIS 5.0 and the "File System Object"

Hi Guys,

I seem to have a bit of a problem.
I have used IIS 5.0 for a few months now, and have ran all of my .asp scripts and pages just fine.

I have created a new set of pages that use the "File System Object" and have had problems getting these pages to load.
They simply stall. I know it is not the code because they work fine on a remote server.

Can anyone shed some light on why these .asp pages that call the "File System Object" stall? I also have a problem with a .asp script that writes to the disk. It just stalls. I have set every permission I have found to "Full Access", but still no luck.

Thanks

Have any webhosts had this problem?

When this happens, can you pull you pull up any other pages on that server (especially .asp pages)?

Second question that came to mind, are you using Norton Antivirus on that server? If so, check Norton because it has a script blocker so that malicious code cannot modify files.
