Hi

I'm trying to debrand exim as much as possible.

I've altered the 220 welcome message via the conf file.

However I cant find how to remove the hostname in the following (uk.netsender.co.uk)

"Envelope-to: admin@host.com Delivery-date: Thu, 16 Sep 2004 17:23:08 +0100 Received: from user by uk.netsender.co.uk with local-bsmtp (Exim 4.42) id 1C7z2c-0008DV-21 for admin@host.com; Thu, 16 Sep 2004 17:23:08 +0100"

I've had a pretty good look round the exim conf, but cant seem to find the right option, if someone could point me in the correct direction.

Kindest Regards

NS

I guess I don't understand why you would want to remove the host name from the headers? Doesn't that violate RFC?

Well I dont want resellers customers to see my hostname on their emails. If theres a way to change it so that its the hostname involved thats put on there instead of my own.

Register a generic domain that has absolutely nothing to do with your business and then use private registration on it. Use that domain for your hostname so it doesn't matter what they see as they can't trace it.
