I've been with Rackmy.com for a few months now(3 or 4), and thought that you folks would appreciate hearing my experiences:

Nothing but great service!

I actually got myself into a bind a few weeks ago by deleting some important files on my linux server. I was under the impression that they were a Windows centric host, and didn't have much linux expertise on site. I was wrong. In less than four hours, they had the OS completely re-installed on my machine!

They did charge me for the OS re-install - but it was only fifty bucks, and it would have cost 4 times that to ship my box home.

I've needed several hard boots since I started with them, and the longest they've made me wait is 10 minutes.

Their billing department was also responsive. I was curious about my bandwidth charges because they seemed a little high. They apparently had a website for me to monitor my bandwidth already in place. It turns out that my dnscache was refreshing entirely too often.

Also impressive was the fact that every time I had a problem or question, they followed up with me to verify that everything was allright. Most (if not all) of the problems I have encountered have been due to my own bad administration practices. The people at rackmy.com (mostly Brad and Mike) have never been condescending, and they have never made me feel like I was bothering them.

The network uptime has been almost 100% since I've been with them. The one time it went down (briefly, for maintenance) I was notified ahead of time!

The speed of their network has been quite impressive - much better than I would have thought.

This is my experience so far. I will update everyone a few more months down the road.

Well folks, it has been a few more months and let me tell you...

I am SOOOOoooo happy that I have rackmy.com as a colocation provider.

They have never given me any problems, the network reliability has been incredible, and they are always quick to respond to any questions or concerns that I have.

Their tech support is top notch as well - and if any of you recall - when I first started looking for a colo provider, tech support was last on my list of requirements. I have always seen tech support departments as not helpful, or not knowledgable. These guys know what they are doing, they are extremely helpful, and they respond quickly. Even during off hours.

There may be better deals to be had, I don't know. But I for one am happy to pay whatever it takes to get service like this.

If you are looking for a colo provider, these guys are as problem free as you are going to find.

It's been almost a year since my last post in this thread...

I wanted to once again post a "Rackmy.com Rocks!!!" report.

I've been with them for what looks to be over a year now with zero complaints.

We did have one unplanned network outage for less than an hour in all the time that I've been with them.

They e-mailed and called me to let me know that the problem existed and was resolved!

Every time now that I've sent in a question they have responded to me much faster than I would expect. Bandwidth has never been a problem, nor has network uptime. (I use ~3GB/month of bandwidth)

I can't tell you how much of a great decision it was for me to go with Rackmy.com. (no, I don't get any referral fees and no, I don't work for them or really know anyone who works there personally). It's been extremely inexpensive (<$60/month) and more importantly, trouble free.

If you choose them as a provider you will not be disappointed.
