I was wondering what you think about mod_throttle being reliable to monitor bandwidth. I have heard claims that mod_throttle shows inflated bandwidth usage.

What are your experiences with the issue? Also, what are good scripts to only display relatively accurate bandwidth usage, not enforce it?

I am using mod_throttle on a Raq4i and having no problems with it, its simple to maintain, easily set to load for each new virtual site I setup (always same settings but a minor edit to change the quota) I've personally not noticed any inflastion of the bandwidth numbers but will watch this thread to see if anyone else has noticed anything that I may want to look at..

I've been using it for about 3 months now, with around 30+ clients...

If anything it shows a little less than actual transfer because it doesn't monitor FTP, Mail, etc.....

I did have one problem once when a user went past 50GB, and the it showed usage for a LOT less...someting wrong with the calculations in the program I guess...

If at anytime you question the actual transfer, just check out the usage under the Admin panel..
