I really, really, hate to do this. I know every other thread on here is how bad Hostrocket support is, and I'm not one to complain. But this is a HostRocket thread with a constructive purpose...

I've been a customer with them since last summer - actually found out about them through this board. I've gotten to the point today where I must declare their service bad. Even after all the service "improvements" that have been mentioned, trouble tickets go unsolved and unanswered, tons of SQL crashes, host goes down for many short periods.

My ftp was down all day today (some bad error about qota exceeded). Filled out a ticket, and got a response - the person responding didn't read the ticket very carefully at all, and didn't address the fact that my ftp was down, and certainly took no action. Instantly replied to it - never heard from again. Went to my support section, and replied to the two open tickets AGAIN. Zilch.

Now that all the Hostrocket forums are obliterated forever, is there another board where all of us current HR customers can compare notes? The HR board used to be great for this. "Hey, host 12 is down - how about you guys?" "Yeah, same here!" or "Nope - working pretty well." If not, would anyone be willing to host such a board? Maybe webhostingtalk can create a place just for us! :-) It would clean up your forums!

Wouldn't be surprised if my problem was "amazingly" fixed shortly after posting this - but is this what it takes?

Not sure what your domain is so I cant really help you out or check on the ticket yet, but if you email me at bbrader@hostrocket.com I can double check and make sure its resolved for you. As for our forums, they are being redone by our design team both in functionality and looks right now, they'll be back in a different form in about a week. If you need to see if a service is down on a server goto http://rocketsupport.com select your server from the drop down on the left, and check the realtime status of the servers. I know were not supposed to carry out support on these forums so if necessary please feel free to modify the post mods.

It is fine, just answered the post directly, covered all points. Avian (and others), please follow the direction of your provider.

Well, I'm here to see if we can't recreate a real support forum offsite from Hostrocket. A place where we can take away all of your hostrocket-related posts. Wouldn't that be wonderful?

Plus, I think it would be good for Hostrocket. Posting here, as much as the moderators must hate it, really does produce results for us folks who've been having trouble.

Heh... Sounds like you need to get yourself a hosting account somewhere (preferable not at HR), install a forum program, and setup a site for HR users.

Some wouldn't complain, heh. A community of HR'ers would probably go over well and might be nice for you guys. In another thread, someonje was asking about remotely hosted forums and I just remembered that I post at one forum which I believe is remotely hosted DelphiForums.com. You could set up a little something off network there, or elsewhere.

Our forums will be back pretty soon. Its better for our users if the forum is maintained by us so they can be assured that there is a reliable source of accurate information about our hosting, and that information being posted their is from actual customers etc.

Brendan may be recalling the recent 'hosturbo user support forum' which, while I've never completely figured out that one, seems to have had some problems.

Thats a real good example of it... along with other hosts fishing for customers in the forums etc. which we have had a problem with even at our own forums.

Is Host Rocket down today?

I just checked my site, cannot access it in any way, tried rocketsupport.com, same thing, tried to submit a ticket on main HR site, cannot do that either????

Anyone else?
