Hi

This is for the ASP programmers here.

I have Windows 98 Second edition.

I need to be able to run .asp files on my local computer ( - not server or host - just my personal computer ) - and for that I need to first install pws (Personal Web Server)

I don't have the windows 98 installation disc, so I can't do it from the "add-ons\pws\" folder.

From googling for a tutorial to help me install pws, I keep seeing reference to the following page to download and install the NT 4.0 server pack:
http://www.microsoft.com/ntserver/nts/downloads/recommended/NT4OptPk/default.asp

And finally here is the problem:
The options there are only for NT, and so after I download the files and execute "install.exe" or "setup.exe" - I get a message: "The setup utility is design to work on windows NT".

Can anyone help me or refer me to a good tutorial that explains how to install PWS?

thanks

Are you choosing Windows 95 as the operating system?

You should be downloading files from the following link :
