So I'm starting a new web-hosting business within the week, but I want to be able to provide domains for my customers. How would i do this? Become a reseller for godaddy or enom, or any other domain registrar?

How would i do this? Become a reseller for godaddy or enom, or any other domain registrar? eSology 09-14-2004, 09:52 PM That is a loaded question. I would spend a few moments and read through some old posts and find out which meets your needs. I have issues with all 3 of the big names but the lesser evil is eNom IMHO. Directi has stability issues and GoDaddy has Corporate constipation concerning their policies. 4solutions 09-15-2004, 12:06 AM Right off the top of my tired little head, there are eNom, GoDaddy, Directi and OnlineNIC... probably in that line of preference to me. All have had growing pains and eNom has simply dealt with the growth the best IMO. eNom is not perfect, but thay have the most stable platform. Slap an eNom reseller account together with a Dramsystem Plus frontend and you're good to go. BTW, if www.Dramsystem.com doesn't have anymore of those $7.95 eNom reseller accounts that they used to give out with the product, then humble old acts837 (in the post above) probably has the best value in a reseller account at his site: www.NameZoom.net Good Luck! ;) Bashar 09-19-2004, 05:37 AM i wouldn't go with a company like godaddy which compete with their own resellers in pricing :D enom all the way :), also you might want to look into directi as another option if you like so. |
