View Full Version : paysystems, 2checkout only nightmares.
Venomous 09-14-2004, 05:50 PM Hi all,
i want share with all my situation.
I have probally lost with paysystems about 400 euros, so about 10 days ago i have opened an'account with checkout to process some pending order. I have processed for an'ammount of $ 528.55 after 5 days the transaction are still not marked as verified. Now i have dropped to 2co an'email asking wich is the problem. So now virtually i have a passive of about 900 euros, that is a bit high. Probally i'm going to refund all the transaction on 2co, and open an account with worldpay, i know that is expensive but i can't find other solution. I'm in europe so i think that worldpay is the only way. I'm very pissed off, i hope that the money on 2co are in a safe place, and i hope in no new surprise....like paysystems...
amos462001 09-14-2004, 06:08 PM Worldpay!! Don't expect any mercy from them they will suck your bank account dry before they even start processing.
VN-Ken 09-14-2004, 10:48 PM Sorry to hear about your bad experiences Venomous. Yeah, we had went with 2CO, however there panels were SO tacky. The admin panel was tacky, the client side was tacky, and as you said, the information on orders kept changing, and even said that my friends payment is fraudulent. Which is why we canceled, and ordered our Merchant Account with CDG. So now, we have no worries, but I do understand what you are going through.
I would suggest to you to get a merchant account. Some people say it is only recommended for people transacting $1000/mo, but that isn't true. As long as you can pay the $25/mo (total price) then you have no worries. I have no real testimonial with CDG Commerce, since I ordered just a couple days ago, but so far, response times are kinda slow, unless you PM them on WHT, which is the owner.
Venomous 09-15-2004, 01:27 AM My problem is not the montly fee. I'm in Europe so i don't know how i can get a merchant account. Now i'm bit worried about the situation with 2checkout i can't loose other money, so probally i will refund all my customer explaning the situation and i will try to bill them the next month even if i get a solution. The only one way seems worldpay, i have got an'offer from them:
- 250 Euro Annual fee
- 49 Euro Set up fee -
- 4.25% per Credit Card transaction (inc Banking Charges) usually 4.5%
- 0.80 Euros per Debit Card transaction
- WorldAlert (Anti Fraud system) Transaction Charge 0.10 Euros
Now i will reply asking if there are hidden fee and/or risk assetment.
Anyway 2checkout still haven't replied to my email, and this make me nervous.....

Since you are having problems with 2CO, I suggest taking a look at CCavenue (http://www.ccavenue.com) a word of caution though, I haven't had any personal experience dealing with them hence. However, from their webiste they appear to have feautres similar to 2CO and their pricing is somewhat similar. Since you live in Europe, they do wire funds to you.
One interesting thing about CCavenue is the Virtual Terminal feautre... Its quite unusual for a 3 party processor to have that feature.
soccer10shop 09-15-2004, 02:44 AM I'm a 2CO user for 2 years. My experience says:
1) There is a verification process for the orders you first do. This sounds annoying for sellers, but you must consider it's a logical point. They won't pay you if you don't show them that you wanna work with them and not use the Paypal account just to scam people, because of the easy way to open one and another one. That period is 15 days usually, when they start to call your customers to see if they were satisfied with the purchase they made. If some of them just say that the merchandise/service was received, then they will surely release your payment.
2) Beware on checks. I got a non-received check, when I claimed it, they said that it has been cashed. They faxed a copy and there was somebody else writing my name in a funny way (well, not really funny for me...) Till today I have seen nothing of that money.
3) Beware on ATM program today. They have right now delayed the new aprooval of ATM cards because of some kind of a trouble with Intercash (the company that provides them with ATM cards) You may apply, you may pay, but... then get nothing for who knows how long. That's what a friend of mine is passing. I had the ATM last year and thanks god it's still working.
Hope it helped a bit.
soccer10shop 09-15-2004, 02:46 AM "not use the Paypal account" <---------- I TRIED TO SAY 2CO ACCOUNT! Sorry!
DavidIl 09-15-2004, 03:50 AM Everyone speaks about 2CO service and that "they dont get back on email"
1) The last time I sent an email to my personal "Risk Analyst" (when I wrote risk@2co.com for the first time she got back to me and since then I work with her) she got back to me after 20 minutes ! It never takes her more than 2 hours.
Write an eamil to "risk@" and a Risk Analyst will write you back. Then write only him/her.
2) Why to email when you can call? I had a chargeback last night.. This is not something for an email.... So I called and I had to wait no more than 3 minutes on the line to speak with a really nice guy that was very helpfull.
(if you are going to tell me that a phone call from EU to US is not cheap... know that I am in the EU also. So what do you do? go to skype.com, buy 10 Euro worth of skype out credits, and call the US for 0.017 cents a min (YES - this is less than 2 cents a minute)
When I call people like that they dont belive its a non line phone call. The quality is great.
Hope it helps...
Venomous 09-15-2004, 06:14 AM David, probally mi witten english is not so bad, but believe my spoken english is very poor, so basically i'm forced to write email. I'll wait other 12 hours, if i don,'t get a response, i will try to fond someone that can talk for me at phone...can't find other ways....
amos462001 09-15-2004, 05:44 PM Venemous are you in the UK? Barclays Bank Merchant service are far cheaper than Worldpays.
We paid Worldpay nearly £500 then in 2 days they wanted another£1000 to keep for 6 months, so £1500 in 3 days! we demanded it all back .. Barclays Bank has approved us and they charge £250 set up a one off with no annual fee or reserve held. They only hold the 1st 30 days then release it.Plus you get a proper Merchant Account.Even if you are not in the UK Barclays have banks all over the World,so give them a ring!
