Reviews specific to the server admin services they offer are appreciated, but any info as to the tone of the company would be nice.

Being as they are located offshore (from us) it would be nice to see what the level of service and response time to US based companies it.

Thank everyone for your help!

I'm fairly new to them, but have been very impressed. I was an EV1servers.net user, and basically dissatisfied with that service when I found SprintServe.

I was also a bit curious about their off shore nature at first, but the boxes and network are in the U.S., so there was no worry on this end once that was confirmed.

We have been very impressed with the level of service and attention to detail. I couldn't get boo out of EV1 service wise--I had to pester them and call them just to get them to update a trouble ticket. Since changing to SprintServe, the difference between them and EV1 has been a breath of fresh air.

I've found SprintServe's service to be very professional and yet rather personal. To be honest, it might a work ethic that is sometimes lacking in your bigger companies. My business partner and I just keep smiling and thanking out lucky stars that we found this place.

Let me know if you want more info.

It's nice that brought you out of the lurking to post. It sounds like you have a server with them not managment services that he was specificaly asking about about :) Great to see a good review :)

It even got me to register again, since it's been so long since I posted here I couldn't remember my user/pw! :)

I do have their basic managed hosting package. It's very good.

I'm so used to NOT having all they offer, I'm still getting used to it all. They have system monitoring, proactive system patching, securing of the server and a bunch of stuff my co-owner uses more as he's the more technical of us. The full list escapes me, but I remember thinking, "Wait--this is managed?!" because it wasn't what I was looking for, per se.

At EV1 no one made sure we were secure, or up to date, or asked who we wanted emailed/paged with server up or down pages and such.

Our move from EV1, in fact, went VERY smoothly because we had the complete support and help from SprintServe in troubleshooting.

sine your last host was not fully managed, you got what they were to supply. I think you are missing the point here. You could have stayed with EV1 and had sprintserve manage your server just the same.

Anyone else have reviews?

We have a good on-going business relationship with SprintServe. I can honestly say that they have one of the best service levels in the hosting industry I've ever seen.

Their staff actually care about each one of their clients, and thoroughly investigate and resolve all technical problems and suggestions alike. They are extremely helpful, friendly and resourceful.

As Monkeylord said, they offer a long list of managed services. However, they are not all just automated and basic services like a lot of places who advertise "Managed servers". They have seem to have staff which will not sleep until they've resolved any pending issues as efficiently as possible.

I have to agree with Monkeylord about their outstanding level of professionalism, and yet also being good on a personal level.

If you are looking for a fully managed solution for your servers and business, and require consistant reliable support, I would highly recommend SprintServe.

Hi,

We (Arias Web Hosting) have a near two year relationship with SprintServe and have found their service to be of a consistently high - even excellent - quality. They have truly been our partners, and have a quite dedicated staff

I'm not certain what is meant by 'Tone of the company', but if I interpret it to be what their responsiveness, proactiveness and knowledge levels are like, I'd have to say, again, excellent.

Hope you find this useful. Good luck. :)

;-) No problem. I've griped to people about EV1 (not here, but other places), so I felt I should chime in when I *am* happy with a company.

SprintServe was recommended to our company by one of their resellers when we inquired about getting our own dedicated servers.

Using SprintServe for server management has been a great move for our company. The level of service is outstanding. Requests for assistance have always been answered quickly by knowlegable staff that makes sure any problem is resolved.

We develope and host custom built content managed websites, custom applications and automated web services. Because of the type of sites we are developing we often need to make changes to the default server settings. The advice, recomendations, and implementation given by SprintServe are excelent in these cases. SprintServe has become a knowledge resource for our company, not just a server admin.

We have never needed to request a security upgrade or patch, as they are faithfully installed by SprintServe. The company also has the resources available to develop backup routines and the knowledge to make recomendations on a good implmentation.

The fact that this company was 'off shore' was initially considered a negative. After actually being a client we now realize that this is not the case, and it in no way subtracts from their service.

I can not imagine having to change to another host/server admin, as I am sure there is no way we could replace SprintServe in their price, service, knowledge and excelent personal interaction.

A Martin

It is odd everyone putting testimonials on here has under 5 posts. It would say something if someone with a little more posts could give a review (not trying to discredit anything here, just an observation).

agree, did get a great review from one of the sales people at sagonet though.

Any more "seasoned" users out there have a review?

I've been working with Sprintserve since early this year (about 9 months ago) and can say CM is definitely one of the people in this industry who has his head on straight and knows how to manage a business.

We are Sprintserve's west coast partner for game servers. Anyone who is in the game server business knows it's a tough one to be in, but CM has handled it well. I would recommend him and his company highly.

Hi Serverunion,

To be frank, as you had contacted us on IM asking us for references, I had asked a few long time clients (Arias - 2 years, Andrew - 1 year, Sineta - Over 2 years working relationship all the way back to 2002, exception is Monkeylord who has been with us about a month) if they can provide the references that you asked for. End of the day, you have to decide if you want experiences from people who had been with us a long time, or experiences from high post counts individuals.

I had also mentioned to them to do it 'objectively', 'only at their own leisure', and 'under no obligation' to do so.

Most of our clients don't frequent the forums here, and I was surprised a couple actually sign up just to give us their side of their story. I was extremely happy not for the positive review, but to learn that all of them had truly been happy with us.

End of the day, I do want to thank all clients (Dave aka Monkeylord, Andrew aka A.Martin, Pamella, Albert aka Sineta) and vendors (Erica from Simpli, Jason from Sagonet) alike for their kind words.
