I've been looking for a good deal for some space and bandwidth. I recently have been suggested to sign up with Server Matrix. I am currently on a semi-dedicated server which has cpanel, mysql, phpmyadmin, email, subdomains, ftp, and I am wondering if Server Matrix can provide the same thing. I am also looking at this (https://www.servermatrix.com/solutions/ss30_server.html) package and am deeply confused on how to sign up. Also I would like to hear some comments about Server Matrix.

I am guessing that you have a managed semi-dedicated server.

The question you should be asking is, do I know how to set these things up?

ServerMatrix provides you with a server, from there, you're on your own. You can do whatever you like with it, install whatever you want (as long as it is within the TOS/AUP).

how are you confused as to how to sign up? fill everything out then hit "request quote"

as far as comments, I've been on SM for about 2-3 months and love it.

You should probably be looking at managed (not managed.com) or semi managed hosting/servers.
ServerMatrix can manage the servers, but you will pay a bundle per month extra.

You could ofcourse get another company to manage your unmanaged server for you.

so you are saying I can get a company to take care of installing like cpanel and all for me if I get a server from Server Matrix? If so is there a company you recommend?

when you order a server from SM you can have cpanel/whm come with it, already installed.

ok. So they don't offer sql databases and phpmyadmin?

they come with both. both are "part" of cpanel.

sql would come regardless of if you get cpanel or not- it's part of a standard OS installation.

They come with MySQL but ms sql costs extra. PHPMyadmin comes included with WHM and can be accessed through cpanel

Ok I am seeing all these charges when I get a quote like:
Monthly Charge: $209
Monthly Charge Sales Tax will be added for Texas residents
Pro-rated Monthly Charge (the rest of September starting tomorrow): $104.50

Setup Fee: $0
Setup Fee Sales Tax will be added for Texas residents

Total Initial Charge: $104.50

Do I just pay $209 or what?

No you pay the 104. I am sure they bill on a monthly basis so thats the charge for the rest of this month, then it will be 209 thereafter
