Im in the middle of setting up a hosting company. Our control panel is being writen and we are going to resell it. Im probable going to use 2checkout for payment. The only thing im looking for now is the domain part.
Could somone sujest a good site for buying domains, one with an api for automation. We aren't going to buy thousands of domains.

.biz
Also does anyone know any scripts that do whois on these domains.

I also recommend OpenSRS. They are very professional, have competitive rates, and a very good domain management system.

Are there any others that do .co.uk, because I dont like the big deposits that opensrs require.

Com, net, org domains are $12 per year, so not the cheapest out there. Free setup is nice, though.

As far as I know, if you want to use an automated system to register .uk domains you have to be a Nominet tag holder and have a credit account with them. This will allow and enable you to use their automated system to register .uk TLDs.

If you are after scripts to carry out WHOIS on domains, there are plenty about. Are you just looking for a simple one that will check and report upon domain availability? We have a couple, including one that we have written ourselves and used on our site in the past.

(I am assuming you are looking for a Perl script)
