Dylan 01-15-2002, 08:44 AM i've no idea, i've never heard of them until today when they outbid me on a search engine UmBillyCord 01-15-2002, 12:46 PM They resell RS servers, marking them up 150%. Still, not a bad deal. :) Dylan 01-15-2002, 04:57 PM serious, RS? does RS have 3 NOCs? pihost lists 3 facilities  311 01-15-2002, 04:58 PM I think the one in CA is their own... Tetraboy 01-15-2002, 05:08 PM Maybe, they resell services from 3 places? Their network page is definately not rackshacks. ( Cisco powered? Rackshack uses Juniper M5 and M10s. ) MystiX 01-15-2002, 05:40 PM Hi everybody, Rather than let you guys go crazy with speculation, I can answer the questions that you're all dying to know :D Yes, I do work for PI Host. I also enjoy reading WHT a great deal and I'll be glad to answer any addition questions you guys might have, although I don't generally post here much. --- Facilities: 1. Los Angeles - we own this one. It is primarily Cogent bandwidth, geared for high bandwidth / low cost co-location solutions. We do not currently have dedicated servers out of this location, although we may in the future. 2. Houston - Owned by EV1/RS. We resell RS white box servers, but we provide server "management" for them. So, they are not just marked up RS servers: They are managed servers. We provide 1 hour of systems admin per month with each server. 3. Baltimore - Owned by Affinity. We lease space there, primarily for shared hosting accounts. 4. Irvine - Owned by XO. We lease space there, primarily for shared hosting accounts. --- Well, there you have it. Facilities in a nutshell. - MystiX - 311 01-15-2002, 05:51 PM whoops, I should read before posting... |
