I have been a modern bill user for about a year now and have struggled with getting to work like it is supposed to, and when it was supposed too, I finely gave up when I came across WHMAP I had it setup and working in 30 minutes. I have had a few questions for support and they where answered in a short period of time
Let me tell you this is a breath of fresh air, it is up and running just as it should does what it is supposed too, when it is supposed too (Imagine that)

I had the exact opposite experience. I went from whmauto to modernbill.

Well, if you have only whm/cpanel servers then whmap is quite preferrable.
But I personally prefer modernbill. Once you configure it properly (coz its configuration is not as easy as whmautopilot) it will be the best billing software availalble in hosting business.
We use it and it perfectly interacts with various control panels like plesk, cpanel, ensim etc...!
Although whmap is much easy than modernbill ..! to understand as well as installation.

Can you make modernbill create on an account on a certain control panel per order form or order selection?

Yes, I believe this is posible. I've seen one modernbill installation where the host was offering a special order form that would setup the account based on a selected country where they wanted the server to be located.
