i have an question about my server


I am owner of an raq5, long time before i have with a lot of trouble make work my DNS servers on this machine

now i have to move to another location, and what will happen, i have everywhere change the IP-adresses to the new one in the control panel, but my DNS-IP's are unreachable,

i know there was a configfile on the machine that i had change for let working the DNS server, but i dont not wich file this was???

do u have anybody an sugestion????

Change you ip in registrant page.
File named.conf.

thnks but in this file, the IP's are changed by the control panel it self...

1. Go to your registrar and change the Namserver IP addresses to the new ones.
2. Make sure that the domain names resolve properly from the above said IP address.

example:

domain.com has its DNS servers pointing to NS1.yourhost.com and NS2.yourhost.com

Go to the registrar where NS1.yourhost.com and NS2.yourhost.com is registered. Change the IP addresses of these two to reflect the new ip address of the server.

Now test using whois NS1.yourhost.com. This should give the new IP addresses.

now test this
nsloookup domain.com NS1.yourhost.com
nsloookup domain.com NS2.yourhost.com
