I've heard what I'm looking for is called "virtual hosting"
I have tons of different domain names and I want to put up some simple pages on them. They won't be getting much traffic.
Most of companies seem to charge alot for adding on extra domains.
Anybody know of a good solution?
Thanks,

Sami,
Are you looking for a shared hosting package? Most hosts will shrivel up and die at the thought of you hosting 1000 domains on a single account.
Have you considered a cheap dedicated system, with your own nameservers?

How cheap are we talking here?
Who would administrate such a system?

If those are not high usage web sites, I would think that you can get something like a cheap dedicated server for around $100 per month, with 30 gb+ of bandwidth. Of course, we are not talking about high end dual PIII systems, but it is not needed.
Usually, these cheap dedicated servers come buindled with an easy administration tool. If you know your way around in web sites, you should have no real problems. Of course, if you are totally new to this, it is recommended to get a managed dedicated servers... which would cost a lot more probably.

Sami,
You can probably get a machine with a celeron processor, 64-128 MB ram and an IDE drive that will work just fine. If you're not using much bandwidth, the monthly charges shouldn't be high at all. However, not all hosts have this kind of package available... but would probably be happy to set it up for you if you asked them.
Also.. many dedicated server companies have software that will allow you to administrate your nameservers from the web. Adding all of your domains to the system should be rather painless.

You might check out Plesk for a control panel, its the easiest to use but costs a good chunk of change. Webmin is another but and its free but has a learning curve.

If your going down the dedicated solution, we have quite a nice script called "masspark" its designed to park every domain in a text file on the same IP address (sets up the zone files etc) which I don't mind giving you the use of..
We coded it for one of our clients who wanted to park 6000 domains on his server! Heh!

I reommend just getting a single shared hosting account and then use mydomain for managing the domains. They say they can handle over a 1000 domains for an account:
Are you looking to move more than 1000 domains to our servers? If so, contact us to discuss bulk setup help.
