Hello,
I am looking to hire either a person or company to manage a single dedicated server hosted through servermatrix. I am looking for month to month management that preferably can be paid through paypal on either a monthly or bi-weekly basis. I am further looking to establish a long-term relationship with someone to handle this and other servers into the future. Pay will depend upon your experience and I would prefer if you include a suggested amount per month (not to exceed $150/month).
If you are interested or know someone who is, please contact me by sending your resume w/ references to info _at_ bloop _dot_ com. My apologies but we will only be contacting individuals who are applicable, if you haven't heard from us in 2-3 weeks then assume that we will not be responding.
After reading the following requirements, if you could include in your email a quick description of how you would accomplish these goals on a monthly basis and what kind of hour requirements you'd need.
********************
Software: WHM/Cpanel
Server Location: rental through servermatrix.com
Specs: Dual 3.2GHZ, 1G RAM
My Experience: Solid with Cpanel, newbie with WHM, webmaster level SSH (i.e. wget, chmod, mysql, etc).
What I'd like to have covered is general server maintenance, such that I can enjoy the same level of comfort that I did in a shared/vps environment. Namely, I don't want to have to worry about security holes in the server itself or cpanel/whm. I further don't want to lose time because something like fantastico or awstats is no longer functioning (for whatever reason). I would also like to set up some sort of backup solution, be it FTP or otherwise. I think for the most part, the server maintenance should be pretty mundane and easy for someone with experience with one exception.
I would like to run multiple dns on the server for SEO and marketing reasons. I realize that this is somewhat counterintuitive and not something that WHM was set up to handle, but I also think, something that shouldn't be too much of an issue for an admin w/ experience.
An example of what I'd like is as follows:
IP Block 1
ns1.maindomain.com (IP1)
ns2.maindomain.com (IP2 & virtual hosting)
ns1.seconddomain.com (IP3)
ns2.seconddomain.com (IP4)
ns3.seconddomain.com (IP5)
IP Block 2
ns1.thirddomain.com (IP6)
ns2.thirddomain.com (IP7 & virtual hosting)
ns1.fourthdomain.com (IP8)
ns2.fourthdomain.com (IP9 & virtual hosting)
... ect.
I do have quite a few websites that I'd like to host under this system that are grouped based upon the DNS theme. I can transfer sites over without much difficulty myself, but I do want to be sure that the DNS is set up properly.
We're a young company (doing SEO/web marketing) but growing quite quickly now. Eventually when I can afford it I'd like to move into a rackspace type environment, but then if I find the right server admin perhaps they can grow w/ me & the company.

Thanks,
Chris
