I have a paypal account over 8 months, around US$10,000 monthly income through paypal, all can withdraw at past.

From yesterday, they limited my account,

First ask me to change the password and the qustion

Second, ask me to add my credit card!!!( actually I added it before and submit the pin number to paypal already).

Paypal remove my credit card without any notice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then, I try to add the credit card again, they told me --- "you can not add credit card, you access limited, something like that!!!!!

Now my paypal account have over US$2,000!!!!!

can not withdrawl or send moeny..

I have already call to them, the working performace is not good for the paypal staff, give me some model answer which can not help me

Damm Paypal. ****!!!!

Keep my money not give me, I hate them.

keep phoning to them, don't write to them, it will take them more then 48 hours to get a reply saying:

"you need to fax your death certificate to lift the limited access from your account"

"First ask me to change the password and the qustion". I think that your account was at a high risk (someone stole access). so they just want to ensure maximum security for your account to avoid any fraud usage of the account.

that concerns me because i'm taking money through paypal for my company. that's definitely illegal if they don't give you a reason. is this only happening to accounts with high balances?

This is not really illegal as you´ve accepted their TOS which allows them to do various things including this. Always read the fine-print.

fine print doesn't mean they can do whatever they want. i could make a contract and have u sign it and it can say that you will be my slave for 3 years i i loan you $75. this can be proven to be your signature but since that's plainly not allowed by law then it's null and void. papal stealing your money isn't legal. it's your money using their system. they have the right to charge you, not take it from you.

With that kind of monthly turnover, you have no excuse. Go to a bank and get your own merchant account. 3rd-party processors are for small-timers and hobbyists. Once you hit about $1000 a month, a merchant account starts paying for itself.

Just like other complain threads on this forum regarding PayPal or other issue, it would be beneficial if you provided some other details such as your location or perhaps the goods you sell or even past chargebacks. Only with such information are we might be able to find out why PayPal might have done that.

Unfortunately amylty, you learned about PayPal the hard way. You are not the first and will not be the last person who has gone through this sort of deal with them. Right now what is done, is done. So all you need to do is do your best as far as clearing up your account and withdrawaling all your money out ASAP. Once you have done that, like Patrick said, start up a real merchant account. Merchant accounts, especially for your base income, is going to be a far better solution for you than PayPal. Do a search on the WHT board and Google for some great merchant solution offerings.
