I am using it. For low volume transactions, it is ok. If you have some big ecommerce stuff, I would suggest that you should go to the certificates issued by big guys.

Well, part of it is about branding and insurance guarantee.

Branding is one of the most effective ways to differ you from your competitors though...

I understand there is one that is free "Cacert" , any idea or reccomendation about that

I use them for SSL and they work just fine.

As for having "brand awareness" from Verisign or Geotrust, I could care less. ;) That extra sense of security that anyone may get is just a bunch of smoke and mirrors.
