Hello,

As many of you know, we were working on creating a Microsoft PassPort clone. Originally code-named "DeskPass", we just launched it today, named as "authBase".

This service allows users to use only one username and password combination for all our services. We will be launching a new service called Desk3, within a few days (the code is actually 95% finished) which is like an online PDA - it has more features then all the rest. It allows you to store contacts, appointments, tasks, expenses, memos, bookmarks and files. You can even connect to other accounts (with the other users' permission of course) to share files, memos etc and you can also IM other users.

We are also talking to a company that has over 150,000 users that have interests in converting their users over to authBase. I am not, however, at liberty to release the name.

If anybody else had a large user base, and would like to discuss integrating with authBase, feel free to E-Mail me at matt@techboost.com. Also - You're free to sign up with authBase! http://www.authbase.com/register.php

Thanks,
Matt Kaufman

I signed up for the Desk3 testing way back whenever it was, and I got an email saying I would be notified when it was ready...Nothing yet?

Hello,

We decided to not transfer those users over to authBase, since there is a few extra required fields in the authBase system.

By registering for authBase, you will get access to Desk3 automatically though :)

Ok, just looked...

It does input the selected country into the main database - just not when you edit your profile..it's a simple bug that will be fixed soon.

Thanks :)
