Hello,

Are there any scripts or services I can use to monitor the uptime of my servers?

I'd need to know ASAP if the server goes down, via text, phonecall or e-mail.

I am in Europe, servers in US, just in case this is an issue.

Locally, check out http: http://www.nagios.org/ or http://www.servwatch.com/ depending on what language you want.

And then check out http://www.hyperspin.com or http://www.alertra.com

Also siteuptime.com is much less expensive than alertra

Nagios is great, Big Brother is ok also...

For a commercial solution we have used Siteuptime for quite some time now. They are pretty reliable and very inexpensive. We get a few false alerts here and there on the 2 minute warning stuff, but overall I am very pleased with them.
