Bogdan 11-14-2000, 05:37 PM Here is a list of merchant providers: yahoo cc merch. services (http://dir.yahoo.com/Business_and_Economy/Business_to_Business/Financial_Services/Transaction_Clearing/Credit_Card_Merchant_Services) <<MOD NOTE>> I just changed that long URL to a link to avoid that hortizontal scroll problem. <</MOD NOTE>> [Edited by Chicken on 11-19-2000 at 04:43 PM] mkaufman 11-14-2000, 08:00 PM Thanks.. Has anybody had experience with Charge.com? MadMax82 11-14-2000, 08:06 PM We currently have one customer using charge.com with no problems. The prices certainly are great and we currently have an application under review. We should know in the next day or two. The referral fee of $100 per customer is not bad either! I was not overly impressed with their shopping cart (free) but there are many other shopping cart options. They will also help code pages for you for upto 20 items. Overall they respond fairly quickly to calls and e-mails as well. My 2 cents... cbaker17 11-14-2000, 10:45 PM We too have had good luck with charge.com SK 11-16-2000, 11:12 AM Take a look at clickbank.com and compare the prices. I'm satisfied with their service. They charge one-time $49.95 activation fee, and a $1 + 7.5% fee per sale. There are no monthly fees. Good Luck MadMax82 11-16-2000, 11:16 AM That goes back to the old "how much volume do you have" problem. If you have lots of small transactions (say domain registrations) then the fees will add up quickly. Course if your volume is not very high then you will get tagged by the monthly minimum fees in a big way...Seems like they get ya either way! I get a lot of volumes but reason I'm with clickbank.com, is because I get free advertising with their affiliate program, which pays me back. MadMax82 11-16-2000, 11:32 AM Ahhhh good point! Sounds much like revecom.com which is $49 setup fee and $1 + 3.65% fee per sale. kunal 11-17-2000, 06:33 AM Revecom.com is a very interesting place. I signed up with them, FINALLY! But in there terms of service document it says this ".... 4. Services charges (For USD): PaySystems.com TPP-Sale service charges: (i) A monthly fee of $25.00 plus (ii) A non-refundable setup fee of $79.00 plus (iii) A transaction commission based on the type of payment medium or credit card used. Refer to the table below for detailed rates. ...." I found this a little akward. I emailed them about it, but as usual I have got no response from them. The never respond to emails. :( MadMax82 11-17-2000, 09:26 AM Personally I get worried when the money folks do not respond to e-mails. Do you have a link for the information you posted? The page I am looking at on their site does not say anything like that http://revecom.com/services/tppsale/index.htm Oh one other potential downside is that they keep your money for 7-14 days before paying you and they have a 5% holdback (that is often the case though even with merchant accounts). Chicken 11-17-2000, 10:56 AM SK, I'd imagine that clickbank hold money for 7-14 days as well? Really if they would un-palify pay-pal, and add reoccurring billing, it would probably be better than vboth of these. Maybe they have added this, but I don't think they've un-palified it. sodapopinski 11-17-2000, 11:05 AM kunal, Same here with me. I sent them an email asked something, and they didn't reply my email. :( Thx. Well, thats my whole point. After I signed up, they sent me an email with that file. Why dun you just signup. You dun have to pay anything. Once you get that email, they ask you to fax some stuff to them, and then you have to pay. So try it out. MadMax82 11-17-2000, 01:27 PM Roger that I will sign up and report what they say. That seems like bait and switch to me. More to follow.... tarheel 11-19-2000, 05:12 PM Originally posted by Bogdan Here is a list of merchant providers: yahoo cc merch. services (http://dir.yahoo.com/Business_and_Economy/Business_to_Business/Financial_Services/Transaction_Clearing/Credit_Card_Merchant_Services) I use them, and they are very good. No setup fees, you can pay up front about $200 or do the lease, which is non-cancelable under any circumstance. It will cost you more to do the lease, but it's worth it. Only $14.95 per month. Discount rate and other charges are typical merchant account charges. Not a special deal, but you're not getting ripped off, either. Their application process is a pain in the ass; they are very particular and they want EVERY blank filled in. They mailed back my app 3 times before it was finally approved. Setup with EFTSecure was a REAL pain in the ass. They assume you know everything about ASP and such, and only have "leave a message" phone support, and e-mail support. But all in all, it's great. Once it's setup you should not have any problems.
