Hello,

Looking at a low end dedicated box to move away from reseller hosting.

Was looking at Tomsyer but seems to be a fair bit of bad publicity on them around the place.

I'm looking at Cyber Wurx vs SAGO. SAGO's DC is in Florida, I hear the weather is worse there? I'm in Australia so I'm not familiar with your weather patterns.

Did SAGO go down at all receintly with the hurricane?

How long has it taken people to get their box rebooted?

How long for hardware replacement such as HDD or PS?

Thanks in advance.

none of our machines experienced any downtime at the sago network during the recent hurricane. However if you check the downtime section sago them selves posted that there was downtime and gave a very detailed description of the outage and actions taken at the DC (big thumbs up).

I've never personally used cyberwurx but I would give sago a big two thumbs up :)

2 times now my server at sago has rebooted for no reason.

they seem to be OK though.

us0r is that your server has crashed because of a bad configuration or has it really been rebooted?

I have never tried Sago but for the past 10-14 months with Cyberwurx, there was only 1 outage for 10 minutes. Frankly, cyberwurx is the best decision we have made thus far :D

I have 3 servers with Cyberwurx, very pleased with their support :)

not a bad config cause it runs fine for a month then it gets rebooted. I have never seen a server reboot itself once every month or so for no reason. Ususally if it crashes it does not come back up without support.

When its up its good though. Sometimes a bit slow.

You're a reseller for Sago, aren't you?

This person obviously is not intersted in our services, nor did I ever mention we resell for sago I mearly stated the fact that we have had a good business relationship with them. He asked for opinions we gave, stop thread crapping.

We've used cyberwurx and GC for a long time and you really can't go wrong with them. Have inquired with sagonet, but never amounted to much.

Chris @ CW is also good to work with.

The only negative aspect for cyberwurx is that they bill by the 95th. Where my actual usage was 1.8mbit and 95th was 4mbit, call me annoyed when box was way over bw by 95th but way under by actual...why don't they change :P

Mail Chris about it but its industrial standard though :D

Pros and cons for either of the calculation, depends which fits you the best.

You can call it what you like... I see it as a conflict of interest and unethical, IMHO.

We'll let the mod's decide.

Sirius, what is your problem here?

I don't see anything wrong with wiresix-Ryan's comments. He didn't state that he was a reseller for them, nor anything else except his opinion on Sago and his time with them.

Sirius, could you kindly tell me, what's so wrong about wiresix-Ryan's comments?

Well then, I sincerely hope you've alerted the MODS to almost all posts made publicly by individuals when requests for experiences are made about companies. Since WHT is full of resellers and webhosts, who exactly would be providing the opinions about the DC's themselves? He uses our services, and commented about his experience through the hurricane, that's not against any rules, nor were any other comments made in this thread about people / resellers who have and do use Cyberwurx.

Thank you,

Matthew McCormick

No, I think there is a difference from those folks who actively acknowledge they are a reseller (and thus have something to gain by referring people to that DC) versus someone posting how great a data center is and not disclosing their connections to the D/C.

The posts were pulled by one moderator and added back by another, so would lead me to believe, someone agreed. :)
