Is it a big issue? kunal 01-13-2002, 08:27 PM its a major issue... i get about 3 fraud orders a month.. but they thank fully get caught by revecom... kunal 311 01-13-2002, 08:36 PM how well does 2checkout do against frauds?? marksy 01-13-2002, 10:07 PM We went from 10-15 a month to 3-5 by denying access from india, malaysia and some other high fraud countries. Not saying all orders were fraudulent, but it weas more cost-effective to eliminate all orders from those countries than spend the time to weed out the valid ones. I saw another post not too long ago listing a great deny from list of ips you can add to your .htaccess. Found it: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=31201&highlight=deny+from Walter 01-15-2002, 02:37 PM About 0 to 3 fraudulent orders per month, but all were catched except one from Australia. :( Simone 01-15-2002, 09:24 PM Yesterday I got my first fraud order for domain registration, 2checkout accepted the order as valid, but the uk address looked suspicious to me I sent an email to 2checkout asking a control and the order was deleted in a hour. Can someone tell me if a UK zip code/postal code with only number is valid? Jedito 01-15-2002, 09:53 PM Oh man! I get average 1 daily fraud attempt! 2Grumpy 01-15-2002, 10:07 PM Man I hear all these fraud stories and I'm just wondering if I'm gonna wake up one day and half my money is gone from the bank due to chargebacks from Paypal. I've had one problem, Billpoint, stolen card, blah blah ate $160 on that one. 90% of my customers (well maybe 80) pay through Paypal, I have yet to have a single problem. The others use either mail in checks/mo's or Orderbutton.net I have yet to have 1 chargeback with them either. They keep your money a minimum of one month (EEERGH) so I guess that's plenty of time for chargebacks. |
