Ive not been paying much attention to dedicated server companies lately, but now its time i started looking at getting another server.

I was thinking of getting the following server.

Dual 1ghz
1gb ram
2*40gb IDE drive using raid
another 40gb drive as a seperate back up.
Cpanel/WHM
Unlimited or a large quantity of ip numbers

Im looking for a company that has a reliable and fast network, affordable bandwidth and people who can fix any problems with the server 24/7, i mean actually fix problems and not just press the restart button. Companies with someone who uses icq(and responds quickly to your messages) is a large bonus.

What company do you guys recommend? What about the server specification? Is Ide raid ok?

The server will be mainly used to provide reseller accounts.

From reading various other reports and going on myself having a good feeling about the company when browsing their site. I'd say www.rackspace.co.uk

Everything I wanted to know I was able to find on their website which I found helpful. I've also known a few people to have servers there and they all gave good recommendations.

They also now have a UK data center apparently and the quotes I've received have been very reasonable. They supply Plesk as an option for the servers but not Cpanel. But that's available elsewhere I believe.

I'll probably be going to them for my next server anyway.
