Kind of a strange question here but I hope someone can help me out(I know someone can :) ).  A customer of mine has a phpbb2 forum, he wants to put adsense on the top of his pages(ok not a problem), but as you all know adsense gets the displayed results from the text on the page, will it still be able to function correctly, pulling from different posts etc....

Actually, it'll only work if google can spider through it. For the most part it usually works out okay, but that's not always the case. You might notice a large increase in PSA because the spider have yet to crawl through the thread's replies etc. There's really nothing you can do about it as its one of those do it and see how it turns out kinda thing...

its a diffrent spider to the googlebot for the google adsense I think, its just something which checks your pages to see if your adsense is showing relavent ads... So it doesn't really matter if your forum can be indexed or not.. But im not 100% sure on this..

I might warn you that according to the Adsense TOS (last time i checked) it wasn't allowed to have ads on search pages, register pages, and error pages which are all part of phpBB
