View Full Version : Need Reseller Recommendations
glacier 09-06-2004, 07:12 AM Hi,
I need some suggestions on resellers in the sub $10 area that are speedy and reliable.
I don't need much space, 1GB would be plenty. I'll be using it to host some friends, thats all.
It would be nice if you could recommend any companies you have been with, or are with at the moment. Preferrably a relatively large firm with a solid background in hosting.
I'm looking for quality not quantity, especially with speed. My current reseller accounts just don't cut it when it comes to speed.
(they are all hosted on celerons :()
I have considered surpasshosting.com, but I don't know much about them, and would like to get feedback from my fellow WHTers, as well as suggestions for alternatives.
Any help would be great.
Thanks.

Note: Hosts, please don't contact me with offers. I am looking for advice/feedback/recommendations from fellow customers, not offers from businesses.
Thanks for your understanding :)
glacier 09-06-2004, 08:30 AM I forgot to add I recently came across whm-host.com, they seem to have a few good deals. Has anyone had any experience with them?
PogiWeb 09-06-2004, 10:27 AM This is not a request forum. If you want host to match your offer try out hostquote http://www.webhostingtalk.com/request.php
ldcdc 09-06-2004, 11:08 AM He's asking for recommendations - that is allowed.

Hi
Would suggest you to please do detail search on WHT and google, you may find feedback on them.
As far as your requirement goes for sub $10, my you may look at following:
- bgfweb.net (I had some presales discussion with Ben and seems to be good)
- ddhosting.net (I am having a reseller account on Dual optron server with them, and very happy and satisfied over here) They have some special going on like 40% or some discount, you can check that in offer section.
- HomeTownhosting.com (I checked their forum and posted couple of presales questions and got a good response)
- Turnkeyreseller (Rob Saylor is amazing person to interact with) At times they run some WHT special, so you can check them out.
Further, I would suggest you to add more Hosts to the list and send presales questions to everyone. Check on their response time and technical competency. Also compare the different plans/offers on following basis:
- Who is providing IP in that cost?
- Who is providing Private Name servers at no extra cost? This is important
- What servers they are going to put on, ask upfront questions, they would respond you honestly. My recommendation would be Dual Optron or P4
Wish you all the best on your Hosting Hunt
Regards
fusionrays 09-06-2004, 12:41 PM glacier,
You could always try out surpasshosting's smallest shared plan to test out the speed etc, to see if they fit your requirements.
Then you could upgrade to the reseller plan.

There aren't many at that cost structure, but there are a few.
The concern you need to take into consideration, Support and Stability.
Don't make the mistake on basing your Reseller business on cost alone.

Opps, I have typed dd instead of ddi, a type error. It has to be ddihosting.net.
