One of my customers recently complained about 2checkout calling them.

It seems that they have called one of my customers asking them if they were happy with their hosting. My customer said yes then procedded to asking questions. This guy aparently had no idea what he was talking about. Didnt say where he was calling from. Sounded unproffesional which makes my company sound unproffesional.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

they recently called a client of mine to verify the charge, but they did say they were from 2checkout a payment processor for us ;)

they do this to prevent fraud.

I understand the need for preventing charge but the way my customer made it sound was that they called to see if they were "happy" with our webhosting. This customer is one of managed server clients and have been for about 2 months. So asking if they are happy with their hosting makes it sound like we have no idea what we are doing. They eventually said they were from 2checkout but it was still very wierd of them to call.

A method of protection, it's for you and your customers.
well, your customer does understand that it's 2checkout your payment processor, and not the hosting company. so i think would be no problems with this there. good luck

We opened an account with them one month ago, and they held our funds till they verified the delivery of our shipments, by calling some of our customers. Now everything is ok.

We use 2CO about 2 years now and I just like to add that in my experience they're handling this in a very professional matter. As some projects are in a 1 - 7 K range, this kind of calls are a good protection for our clients as well as for us .. also that a client has to fax his credit card, id etc. if a single invoice payment exceeds a certain amount.

Do they just do this on large orders above a certain xxx. amount or random orders?
