So i was looking at the rochen host site, and on the sign up page said "payments powered by worldpay." I'm planning to use them for my company as well. Any of you have any experience using their service? If so, please share! Thanks

I've been waiting about 8 months for them to reply to one of my 3 contact attempts.

I have worked with worldpay before and they are ok. They have quite a few rules and they make getting setup into more of a "process" then some of the other 3rd party providers. However, their service seem to be quality even thought they are a bit slow on the support end of things (2 to 3 days avg. for a reply). I don't know what their prices are. Personally I prefer 2checkout.com as they don't have all these rules and there are less bells and whistles to deal with (also pricing is upfront). But some of worldpay's features are really nice.

We have received nothing but solid and reliable service from WorldPay for over 18 months now.Originally posted by PMH-Steve

Just to clarify, WorldPay actually open a full merchant account on your behalf (although you may not be aware of it without asking them) or you can open a full merchant account with your local bank and then integrate it with WorldPay directly. So technically it isn't a third party gateway like 2CheckOut etc.

WorldPay is the only choice if you're a non US citizen/bank account holder if you're after a proper payments processor. Yes it costs a lot relatively to setup especially for new startups and they will catch you out with their "fixed reserve" but once you get the service it's great.
I don't agree with everyone about slow responses. Give them a ring, I've always been put straight through to a helpful person.

As what had andrew said, Worldpay is the best & reliable billing company for non-us citizen so far.
We are going for worldpay as well after the miserable paysystems problem.

I'd agree with Joseph and Andrew. Worldpay are a decent and reliable company. Especially for non-US citizens who don't have as much choice.

We have been using Worldpay for over 4 years now.
If you are doing volumes they give great rates too.
Very nice and helpful support and for us setup for very easy.
I would any day recommend worldpay to anybody.
They are now owned by the Royal Scottish Bank which is one of the largest banks in Europe.

Hi,
I'm just in the process of getting setup with worldpay. So far, I have found them to be pretty helpfull, but there are a few things you should be aware of.
When I signed up, the website made no mention of having to get a letter from my bank stating that they could vouch for my identity. This was a little anoying, as if I had been made aware of this before paying, I could have saved some time by getting the letter from the bank in advance. It took me almost a week to persuade the bank to write this letter.
Also, on finding out that I have no business history, they insisted on a holding fund of 1 months takings. This will be reviewed in 6 months time, but I suspect that I will not get the money back that quickly. If I go over my projected turnover, I have to increase the holding fund to cover a full months takings. So whatever you do, don't ask for a higher limit than you actually need or you will end up having to put down a large holding fund.
This is in addition to a 30 day trunaround for transactions processed.
Being new to payment processors, some of these fees were a bit unexpected. However, the integration was easy enough, just need to wait another 24 hours or so for them to make my account live.
Just my 2p's worth.
