does anybody know any hosts (virtual or dedicated server) where i pay for whatever bandwidth i use each month, rather than paying a fixed fee for bandwidth which i may not use?

Plan B colocation

$2.50 per gig used each month.

I would have saved $130 last month on 2 servers.

I probably wouldn't save but about $20 this month (Jan)

And I'd probably lose next month at the rate my bandwidth consumption is growing (I use Rackshack).

Their plan is still very tempting, and they are on my list of "potentials" for when I get ready to colo a server.

Are you willing to make a deposit with that host based on projected usage?

The problem most hosts have is collecting after the fact. However, I believe many would probably be glad to accept a payment up front, then after the month was over adjust the invoice to actual usage and credit any overpayment to reduce next months pre-payment amount.

Essentially this would be a pay up front, adjust to actual plan.

I think www.qwerf.com have a pay as you go type thingy but I dunno if there any good
