Honestly, thats a very nice design... but I'd think putting an image of the new iMac:

1. is not good since the chances are, the host won't be providing mac-based hosting

2. that image has been taken from http://www.apple.com and they won't be very happy about that since their images are copyright-ed - just changing the hue of an image doesn't give you the ability to sell it as whole or part of your work

Regarding the image, this design was just a beta. That image can be replaced with an image which will relate to the company. As i sead, we customise the design to the company.

I don't know much about you and your webdesign, but would you please have a look at http://www.mediatemple.net and tell me whether that design looks like yours? It is not me to judge, but I guess this community would like to her your statement about this.

Some of the design elements and ideas are the same BUT you could get away with using this since its not an exact copy.

Well I will speak this:

Most sites have similar design styles, I can show you a lot, although they are different yet similar makes them legitimate. Ever notice how Anime looks the same. I mean canyou say only one artist ripped someone?

just regarding the design, it is an original, just like all the designs. I'm not sure where www.mediatemple.net has come from, but this design is original, and is only sold to one person / compnay.

We have had many replies to this design, and thanks to all that are interested.

Should have more designs coming out soon! So stay tuned...

add in the copied imac pic
and the copied windows xp buttons
dont see anything that is original

but, it looks better then mediatemple's site :D

ahhhhm I guess I am having too much fun comparing the sites, but even ALL the tables are spaced 100% exactly the same.

LOL. You people have way to much time on your hands to be comparing sites all the way down to the sizes on the tables.

Your template looks good and professional.

Dont listen to all these people, they have nothing better to do. I've tried posting in here before offering work. Trust me they will try their hardest to make something out of nothing.

The site is extremely well crafted, and again, to each his own. Macintosh would prolly love someone to show their new computer off sense it prolly wont be that great of a seller anyway.

Why is it a fake? and why is he not into designing if says one thing further? I honesty don't understand.. Im not lashing back at you, the tone ofmy voice is purely in question form. :)

The site is cookie cutter of mediatemple. Not saying he ripped it per say, but rather copied it immensely. jackors comment is referring to, that a designer can see right away that the one design stems from the other. Heck, the only thing that is different is the boxes at the bottom and he copied that from hostrocket.

But as far as legally, there isn't much to say or do. He changed enough to make the normal person actually think its all his own work. And in todays world, it seems to be enough.

maybe 'fake' is not the right word, but rather : stolen, copied... just lame actually.

For instance if you open the 2 sites next to eachother.. you'll see that the big bar is at exact the same position. And the height is also the same. All slicing of blocks is identical.
The webdef logo goes over from orange to grey.. the media temple one goes over drom orange to darkgrey..

And personally i think it's okay to get ideas somewhere else.. but just copy one's design and trying to sell it here...

although because it is so similar to mediatemple, i could take this design/layout and sell it to someone and have a perfect excuse of being "inspired" by the mediatemple site.

the imac looks good there, but put some sgi/sun servers.. and it'll look awesome.
