I would at least add more ram to it. I would go with at least a P4 2.4 GideonX 09-04-2004, 03:16 PM Possible with a lot of tweaking. The 256MB of ram will attempt to kill you, then the duron will finish the job. ayejohn 09-04-2004, 03:24 PM if i upgrade it to 512 you think it will do the job for now ? GideonX 09-04-2004, 03:31 PM You may squeek by, i'd look for a better CPU/ram combo and ditch the idea of upgrading ram. TomNiq 09-04-2004, 03:56 PM What kind of game are you running? I am running several DF2 dedicated servers on dual 800MHz PIII'swith 512MB of ram with no problem... hiryuu 09-04-2004, 04:04 PM It depends a lot on the game but, unless the game is Quake 1, you'll need the 512 of RAM (possibly more for the newest games). Durons don't multi-task very well, so 2 full 10-player servers should hold, but 4 games with 5 each will not. Map changes are especially hard on single-proc systems. The P4 2.4 (the lowest with HyperThreading) is a good suggestion. GideonX 09-04-2004, 04:05 PM Originally posted by TomNiq What kind of game are you running?
