This is a long shot but does anyone know anything about or know anyone from akamail.com which is run by web host edson.net.

Akamail.com is a low cost email forwarding and pop mailbox service. A friend of mine has been using their forwarding service for several years so she can be 'ISP independent'. The mail delivery has always been reliable but the downside is that a request to change the forwarding address needs human action at akamail.

Now she wants to change ISPs but is having no success getting them to respond. She has submitted their standard change form, emailed them, left several phone messages etc with absolutely no response.

I recommended their services several years ago when I was using them myself. I got out later when change requests started talking a week to happen.
