Hi everyone,

I need some help form all you experienced web hosting expert here. I have a new RH 7.1 server with Plesk Control Panel 2.0 installed.

It's all default. So what I would really like to know is, what others modules/application I should install to be a web hosting server?

What I mean additional is something like Zend, JSP and etc...

Please advise. Thank you.

Hi!
If you have a standard Redhat with Plesk you are already through.
For hosting you basically need
1) A webserver - apache
2) Mail system - sendmail,qmail or exim
3) DNS server - bind
4) ftp server - proftpd
5) SSL

The rest you must have support for
c,perl, php, java etc......

The list goes on but these are the basics.

Thanks for your advise. Actually I know that, but what I'm actually looking for is kinda like a list of basic MUST-HAVE Perl Modules, What Server Side Language support and etc...

Can anyone give me or maybe you can even throw in what you've installed for a reference? :blush:
