I personallly register them at netregistry.com, they are AUD$66 for 2 years (which is about the lowest you can find) and they have good support and a good admin panel. But you can only get one if you are an Australian registered business and subject to approval. I doubt very much you will be able to pay via paypal at any Australian domain registrar.

I don't get it. AUD$66 is around USD$45. Why so expensive? I can register .com domain for only USD$8.88 a year at namecheap.

Power_Surge_X, because thats the way it is. They only want businesses to register their domain. If you want a personal domain you can buy .id.au, and theses are not as expensive. By making them a little more expensive (they are far from very expensive) they are making it so you will not register a bunch of domains for the sake of registering the domains. They also have protection against registering another businesses name.

As for planetdomain.com, I would not go with them, I have a domain with them, but I prefer netregistry much more.

remember that is $66 for two years, not one. So $33 per year AU at that price.

And crucial is right, for a business, $33 a year is nothing.
