Just wondering, why did you go with AN instead of going with Managed and their other datacenter directly?

Even if it's cheaper, you should realize that if you go with a reseller, you're taking the risk of either reseller or datacenter disappearing, while if you go direct with a datacenter, you only run the risk of datacenter disappearing.

Classic case of "you get what you pay for".

Also, you people shouldn't blame Managed. They are providing what they are paid for. They don't get paid, they don't provide server to AN. AN doesn't get server, you don't get server. Managed is just doing business, you shouldn't blame them. Some of you are trying to get Managed to turn back on your server to get data even though that server is WAY overdue in terms of payment (payment to them for the server; your payment to AN is your payment to AN, doesn't count as having paid Managed).

The offer for many was the best around. I mean...a 'fully managed' server with the bogof offer meant folk were looking at $45 a month!

Show me a company who can offer such a deal (and survive) and I'll show somebody who has seen Aimee Marsden

So basically:

Client > Datacenter rather than
Client > Seller > Datacenter

Alrighty... I still dont know as to much regarding AN, but I hear only the bad from dedicated clients this week.

Just ask your self:

Why do you buy milk from store? why dont you get a cow in backyard!!

Why do you go to super market to buy grocery, why dont you grow everything on your terrace.

Why do you drive a ford/bmw/wutever car, why cant you make one for yourself.

BS! It was about getting the cheapest service you could get. And you did.

I do agree that we get what we pay for.

But people are complaining here because they didn't even get what they have paid for.

Yes, I went with AN because it was cheap. That doesn't mean that they can run away with people's money and use extortion tactics. Come on dude, even I was supportive of AN but definitely not after this.
